Chemplast Marc Etter Overview

Chemplast Marc Etter is a specialist fluorocarbon processor, chemical equipment supplier, and projects group operating worldwide. The company is a majority owned subsidiary of Poly Hi Solidur Incorporated of the Menasha Corporation USA.

Chemplast Equipment (Pty) Ltd was registered in 1972 and in 1984 was merged with Marc Etter (Pty) Ltd. Chemplast Equipment was a subsidiary of Malbak at the time and the CME Joint Venture continued until November 1990, when Solidur International and the local directors purchased CME from Malbak.

Our head office and factory are based at Elandsfontein, near Johannesburg International Airport, South Africa, and we operate through branches in the cities of Durban, Cape Town, Fort Wayne (Indiana USA) and through distributors worldwide.

We service the range of products and our valued customers by operating under a divisional structure: the PTFE Division; the Thermoplastic Systems Division; the Lined Steel Systems Division; and the Jones Mixing Division.
The PTFE Division is also responsible for the Chemfab and Tygaflor PTFE coated glass cloth product range.
The Thermoplastics Division is also responsible for George Fischer Valves and Fittings, Towerflow (Norton, Begg Cousland and Munters), Speciplan (Projects), Symalit Sheet, Totton Pumps and Colasit Fans.
The Lined Steel Systems Division is also responsible for Wernert Pumps, Neotecha Valves and Nalge Hoses.
The Jones Division is also responsible for the Batchranger and Varishear product ranges.

Our factory consists of 4 550 m2 or 49 000 ft2 of covered area.
